I'm nursing what I think is a case of 'runners knee.' I don't know, I've never gotten it before. I may have come back with too much running after a 4 week break. I have time to ease back into it, so I will try and take it really easy.

Hey, are you doing any interesting Masters endurance research at the moment? I'd like to read recent pubs.

We don't have anything on Masters athletes going at the moment. But we are just getting ready to write an interesting manuscript on metabolic and physiologic variables corresponding to maximal lactate steady state. ;) I'll let you know when we get it published!

*knee bothered me this morning, so I ran with my knee strap. Pain subsides at the faster paces, but kind of lingers on the easy pace. Felt pretty good about the knee though, hopefully breaking up some controlled runs at 6 min. pace will help me get some fitness back and not stress my knee out too much!

*just trying to get some threshold work in with some variation over the last two weeks (2x1mile, 4x800m, 8x400m, all at threshold). Hoping to get the legs moving at threshold while allowing my knee to heal up. Knee only ached (and only slightly) for the first 2 or 3 intervals today, then the aching subsided. Goal was to just hit 90's, but it was hard to control the pace on such a short segment. Just made sure to feel easy and controlled!

Wasn't sure where I would be, my quality work has just been near 6 pace to get the legs turning over again. Not too disappointed with the time, it should come down once my mileage is consistent again and I include faster 800, 1600, 3200 pace work.
